I love Victorian architecture. There’s just nothing nicer than high ceilings or cosy fireplaces to inject some character into a home. But as much as we love the quirks of good old Victorian houses (don’t get me started on the plumbing), we think they also deserve a modern twist that brings out their character even more but makes them comfortable for a modern family.
In this end-terraced Victorian home we played with deep marine blue exterior colours to brighten up the street without putting out neighbours and introduced dark oak engineered herringbone parquet flooring, micro cement bench tops offset agains oak and marble and creating a warm and inviting family home.
We’d like to think Prince Albert would have approved.
